Recently released from jail, a troubled man takes a job as a security guard on a construction site, where he forms a twisted relationship with a flesh-eating female creature he encounters at night. 

​

The Night Guardis a psychological, character-driven horror film which combines genre shocks and a film noir approach with a deconstruction of toxic modern masculinity. The script is complete, and an initial producer is attached in James Mudge (The Next Day), London-based. 

 

A female director is to be attached, plus further producers, production partners, crew and cast, and a budget of £750,000 is being sought, with a screenplay and plan in place which have been designed to keep production costs low and production values high, maximising talent and resources to ensure impressive returns. Shooting is planned for H2 2019, on location in London and Glasgow, and fundraising is to begin once director is attached via national, regional and international funding schemes, project markets, production partners and private investment, with the project highly suitable for co-production.
